This Day in History May 4, 1776

I didn't realize until this morning that Rhode Island declared its independence from Great Britain two months before everyone else.  So on this date in 1776, Rhode Island became independent.  My hat goes off  to them.  Be sure to read the website written from a Rhode Islander:
