Re-Body Saffron Hunger Chews

I had the supreme honor of getting the chance to review Saffron Hunger Chews by Re-body.  They are fantastic, good-tasting chews that help keep you feeling full.  I found that when I ate these before a meal, I wasn't quite as ravenously hunger and felt more satisfied.  I have not seen the results of these hunger chews yet, but I have not always remembered to eat them thirty minutes before my meals per the instructions.  That is the hardest thing for me to remember to do.

The best thing about these chews is that they are all natural, and they contain no stimulants.  It is recommended that you take them before your morning and evening meal, and that is something I have not been as good about.  But I have to say that the results don't lie.  If nothing else, they help me feel more full, and they have a natural sweetness I really like.

Natural Skin Care by Alchemilla: Review and $150 Gift Certificate Giveaway (Ends 2/6) U.S. (closed)

I am so very excited to share with you a product from a wonderful company called Alchemilla, a natural skin care company.  I am always looking for new products that contain natural ingredients and are good for you.  And I have to say that this company is exactly what I could want and more.

First off, it is so great to find a company from the Pacific Northwest!  I love that the company makes the products in small batches using high quality plant products.  Most of these plants are grown either in their own gardens or their herb gardens in Oregon!  If you have never come to the Pacific Northwest, you may not be able to fully appreciate how things are out here, but I am a native.  I am always excited when something is made in Washington and/or Oregon.

I had the supreme privilege of reviewing their Jasmine Replenishing Cream.  From the moment I opened this product, I was invigorated by the scent.  I love scents that are not overpowering but are just right in strength. And this product's scent is definitely just right.

My skin tends to be rather dry, and I am always grateful for products that help with this skin problem.  Unfortunately, so many products cause me to break out or make my skin too oily.  Not true with this cream. The moment I touched the silky lotion and rubbed it on my face, I knew it would make my skin more supple without causing a breakout.  And that is correct.  Even two weeks later, I am still using it, and my face skin is smooth without being oily or dry.  The natural balance in my facial skin has certainly been restored.

When you read the ingredients of this rich cream, you can easily understand why it works so well.  It uses real Jasmine essential oil (that is why it smells so nice).  It has a calming effect on your skin and on the user.  It even creates a liquid barrier to keep the moisture from being lost.  You can imagine how important that is especially during the harsh winter!

This are the products that I got to try.  The company graciously sent me three of their household cleaning products--a 30-day supply.

This is the first of their products I tried--Flushy.  Let me tell you a little about my unique situation before I review this.  We live in the country, and we are on a well system.  In addition to this, we have a lot of sediment in our water.  While our water is filtered and treated, you might imagine that the water in our septic system is not really that great.  It is often brown, and the bowl tends to get stains.  I used this the first week, and I was absolutely amazed!  The ring in the bowl was gone, and I noticed it being much cleaner than I could have imagined!  I was so excited to use this by the second week, that I have since purchased this product and plan to continue doing so.

This is their product called Sinky.  Again, let me tell you about my unique situation.  We have well water, and we live in the country.  We don't have major problems with out sinks draining except for one of our showers.  I can't tell you how many times I have dumped baking soda, vinegar, and other cleaners down that drain.  It is my shower, and I hate the way it drains.  And when I look at the "drain catcher" that collects the hair and soap so that the drain doesn't clog, I always saw all this horrid black stuff on it.  I tried everything I knew to get that off to no avail.  I thought that my situation was hopeless.  I would just have to put up with it.

I tried this product, and within days, I was blown away!  No black junk on the the "drain catcher," and the drain actually worked!  The water was never slow over that entire week, and of course, as I went into the second week, I have purchased this product.

This is their product called "Trashy" which helps with garbage can scents.  This is something that I can't really use--we don't really have this problem.  But in Texas, this would have been an outstanding product.  My garbage can was out in the open, and I often had trouble with odors from the garbage can.  I never found anything that would work, and I wish I could have had this product there--I am sure it would have helped.

Solution Sunday--Natural Vitality Energy 28 Review

I recently had the great privilege of reviewing a product from Natural Vitality called Energy 28.  I am one who is always looking for natural forms of energy--otherwise, I practically live on coffee.  I never seem to get enough sleep, and I am a workaholic when it comes to many things in my life.

I will admit that when I first tried this product, I was somewhat skeptical.  I have found that "natural energy drinks" just don't do the job they say they do. And I was worried about the flavor.  But I followed the instructions, and added it to my water along with some Splenda.  I have to admit that I noticed no difference.


Since the product failed to work the way I thought it should the first time, I decided to give up on it.  And then I got a mild cold, and I figured that using this product wouldn't help during times of illness.  I knew I would have to try it again, but I have to admit that I was not looking forward to it.


A couple days later, my mom gave me a call and asked if she could try the product.  She read the instructions on the back, and I discovered through our conversation that I had only taken about half of the suggested amount. I told her to go ahead and try it and let me know what she thought.  And quite quickly, she became a believer.  I think she used it every day for several days in a row, and she discovered she was not nearly as tired.  I was still recovering from my cold, so I thought I would wait until I was past my cold.


Today, I was absolutely exhausted.  The afternoon hit, and I had two choices--maybe three, come to think of it.  I could take a nap (out of the question), drink some coffee (that was an idea), or try Energy 28 again.  I decided to give the energy drink another try.  I made sure to use the correct dosage, and I have to admit that I did not like the flavor (I know it would be better in fruit juice or a smoothie), but it was quickly gone.  And almost immediately, my tiredness dissipated.  I have to admit that this Energy 28 carried me through several hours this afternoon without the horrible crash that sometimes comes from coffee or soda pop.


My favorite thing about Energy 28 is that contains natural ingredients including lots of vegetables.  While I may not always like the flavor, I know that if I decided to make a smoothie and use this as one of the ingredients, I would not even be able to taste it.  My mom is also sold on this drink (she has used 5 hour energy and other such drinks with mixed reviews), and she has already said that we need to buy this product to keep on hand.

Solution Sunday--Eco Lips SPF 15 Balm

About a month or two ago, I won a great item that I really did not think I would like.  I won what you see in the picture:

I have never been a fan of lip balm.  Sure, I get chapped lips like most people do, but I either forget or just don't think about lip balm.  I have tried to carry it in my purse before, and it just seems to get lost.  (If you saw my purse, you would understand!)  So it just became something I did not use.  I put up with dry lips.

When this item came, I immediately tried the lip balm, and I loved the mint on my lips--it felt so good. In fact, it felt better than any lip balm I have ever used.  I also liked the clip and the fact that it was hard to lose the lid!!

I don't know when I got the brainstorm, but I decided to hook this clip to my cell phone carrier.  I began to use this lip balm regularly.  Sometimes more than once a day.  And I have noticed a definite improvement in my lips.  They feel healthy and protected.  The chapping is almost nonexistent.  I can't recommend this lip balm enough.

And to make the review even sweeter, I just discovered a day or two ago that I was able to take the lid of the balm does come out of the clip.  I was thinking that possibly when the lip balm was gone, I would have to throw away the clip--it may not be useful anymore  But it seems that Eco Lips thought of everything.  When your lip balm is gone, you take it out of the clip, and you can replace it with another lip balm!

Sporadic Saturday--Some Recommendations

Well, I have a yeast infection--it has infected me vaginally but also in my mouth.  My poor tongue is coated with white junk and it hurts.  Thankfully, it is better today, and I am doing the normal treatment.  I have never had one that was so painful in my mouth!  I don't know why except that things have been stressful.  I had a mild one, and then right after the treatment, my period came.  Bad timing.  It went straight into a worse infection!

As I researched my problem yesterday, I realized that I needed to head over to Super Supplements.  I had always heard of this store, but I had never been to one.  As I looked at various products, I discovered quickly that if I went to this store, I would be able to get a couple things to help me.  So I went.

When I walked in, I was amazed!  This place is awesome!!  While some of the prices are a little high, when you realize that this place has natural products that are hard to find elsewhere, I really think it's worth it.

Have you heard about tea tree oil?  I had been using a couple products with this, but I had no idea that it fought yeast infections and so much more.  Both of the products I am currently using are made with tea tree oil.  I can't comment on Yeast Arrest.  I only started using it last night, but hopefully it will help my problem.  I can comment on Jason's Healthy Mouth mouthwash.  I am amazed at how wonderful  this stuff is.  I use it, and my white tongue immediately looks normal!  My mouth sores are beginning to heal.  Tea tree oil does have an unusual flavor and smell, but it works well!

So that is my post for today.  I'll get caught up on my challenges tomorrow.
