NeoCell Beauty Bursts Giveaway (ends 4/5) U.S.

The Beauty Bursts Gourmet Collagen Soft Chews is a new type of beauty supplement that has been added to NeoCell's "Beauty from Within" product line. The purpose of these soft chews is to feed our skin from the inside - out with a sweet burst of nutrients that our skin needs in order to thrive and become more youthful. Each soft chew is made with the following nutrients: Collagen Type 1&3, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C.

Question is, how do these three nutrients help our bodies?

Collagen Type 1&3 is a protein that we need to maintain strong hair, nails and skin. Collagen's main purpose is to help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by improving elasticity in the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid is what keeps our skin fully hydrated - which is why this ingredient is known as "nature's moisturizer".

Vitamin C is an essential vitamin that helps "boost" collagen into our skin.

By taking two (2) soft chews {the recommended dosage} on a daily basis, you are feeding your skin with 2,000 mg of Super Collagen™ types 1 & 3, 20 mg of hyaluronic acid and 20 mg of vitamin C. These soft chews do not contain any lactose, gluten or artificial flavors; however, these do contain soy and have a caloric value of 40 calories. Each Beauty Burst package contains a total of 60 chews - an entire month's worth of dietary supplements. This beauty supplement are available in two flavors: Super Fruit Punch and Fresh Mint Chocolate.

I don't know how you feel about taking vitamins, but if it is up to me, I would much prefer taking soft chews rather than swallowing some big pill.  These sound really good, so read on for your chance to win!

Now it's YOUR turn:  Interested in giving these Beauty Bursts a try? Great! Now you can by just entering in our NeoCell Beauty Bursts Giveaway. Complete all the entries below to qualify as a participant entering for a chance to win one package of Beauty Bursts.
The NeoCell Beauty Bursts Giveaway begins today, March 25th and will end on April 5, 2013 exactly at 11:59 pm EST. Good Luck!!

Guest Post: Helpful Hints to Remember to Take Your Vitamins Every Day

Taking vitamins is great. Actually remembering to take your vitamins is another thing, especially if you take different vitamins at different times of the day. It's safe to assume that you have a lot on your plate each day, keeping track of your vitamins isn't always your first priority. Here are some helpful hints to remember to take your vitamins every day.

Can You Streamline Your Vitamins?
If you find yourself struggling to keep track of your vitamins each day, maybe you're taking too many vitamins. Consider taking a multivitamin or a supplement instead. This makes it easy to remember to take it everyday. If, however, that's not an option for you, talk to your doctor or pharmacist to see if you can eliminate some of the vitamins you take. Some vitamins even come in weekly doses.

Use Your Computer As a Reminder
There are plenty of free daily scheduling programs you can use to remind you to take your vitamins when you log onto your computer each day, which you probably do at about the same time each day anyway. Some programs even have an alarm option if subtle reminders won't do the trick for you. An easier fix is to put the reminder right on your screensaver.

Put Your Vitamins in Can't Miss Location
Location is everything. This is true when it comes to remember to take your vitamins too. Keep your vitamins in a can't miss location where you know you will find them each day. If you usually take your vitamins with breakfast, for instance, put them where you keep your coffee cups.

Use Your Daily Wake Up Service
If you have a daily wake up service that you normally use to remind you to get to the office on time, ask them to add a vitamin reminder to your message too. Most wake up services are willing to make special accommodations like this.

Use a Pill Sorter
Pill organizers aren't just for senior citizens. You have compartments for each day, which works fine if you take the same vitamins at the same time each day. Just put your vitamins into each compartment and leave the pill sorter in a spot where you can easily find it and you should be all set.

Take Your Vitamins at the Same Time
Unlike medications most vitamins can be taken at the same time each day. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist to make sure it's all right. It's easier to develop a habit if you do something around the same time each day.

Get a Reminder Device
Remembering to take something everyday, whether it be a vitamin or medication, isn't a new or unique problem. You'll find a number of devices you can use to remind you to take your vitamins everyday, from vibrating watches and automatic dispensers to beepers and special alarms. Epill.com is a good site to find a variety of reminder devices.

There's an App for That
Yes, there are plenty of apps you can use to be reminded to take your vitamins. Most of the pill reminder apps are for medications, but work just fine as vitamin reminders too. Many of the pill reminder apps you'll find have both a free version and a paid version. If you just need a simple reminder each day, the free version should do just fine.

Ask Family Members/Friends to Remind You
If you're not the only one in your household taking vitamins, remind each other to take your vitamins. The same goes for your friends or co-workers. It's not a lifetime commitment though. Once you get enough reminders, you should be able to get into the habit of taking your vitamins without daily reminders.

Use Post-its or Reminder Notes
Old school reminders can still be just as effective in the age of apps and smartphones. Place a Post-it note at your breakfast table by your laptop. If you take your vitamins before you start your day at work, put a reminder note or Post-it on your computer screen before you leave each day so that you'll see it when you get into work. Just remember to leave another note for the cleaning crew when you first start doing this.

Bulu Box A Vitamin and Supplement Sample Box Review

I think subscription boxes are indeed the wave of the future.  I am one who is hesitant about putting a lot of money into something that I may not like.  I love natural items and high quality vitamin/supplement products.  I am always looking for ways to be healthier.  So Bulu Box certainly caught my eye!

And here is what came in my box.  Dream Water, Immuno Gum, Perfect Blocks, Red Stinger Black Label, and Washington Homeopathic Headache.  I'm going to be very honest.  Since these are samples, I cannot guarantee that any of the products work as prescribed, but I have to admit that a couple of these really stood out to me.

The Dream Water really tasted good, and I know I got a good night sleep as a result of this.  I wish I had access to a bottle of that last night because I just could not get to sleep!  I love the fact that this is not a drug, it is all natural, and it has no calories.  I am seriously considering looking into buying this product so I can have it on hand for nights when I struggle with getting to sleep.  I tend to struggle with sleep when I am near "that time of the month."

I also loved the homeopathic headache product.  I have to admit that I don't always like taking ibuprofen for my somewhat frequent tension, stress, and sinus headaches.  I thought I would give this a try one night, and it really worked!  So easy to use, and it helped my minor headache.  I don't know how well it would work on a major headache, but it is perfect for the minor ones.

The Immuno Gum tasted good, but I can't guarantee that it helps me long term.  I would be willing to try some more.  As to the other products, the Black Label energy pill is fine, but I don't really know how well it worked.  I would need to try more than a sample.  And as to the Perfect Blocks, I am sorry I keep forgetting to try it.  But here is the thing.  I was getting ready to do this particular review last week, and I got another box from the company!  Wow!  So I am doing this one right now, but in another 2-3 weeks, I will do another.  And I will make sure I try the Perfect Blocks.  This review has been waiting long enough, so I wanted to get this one done.

As far as I am concerned, I truly enjoy this subscription service, and I may consider it in the future.  If not for me, it would make a great gift for someone.  I am certainly keeping them in mind.  The company has been nice enough to share a promo code with my readers so you can get their first box of your subscription FREE! (Please note: This promo code entitles the user to $10.00 off a monthly or yearly subscription.)  Use the code DISCOVER.

As a side note, another thing I like is that each of the items in the sample box can be purchased directly from the website, and you can always find more information about them as well.  I am glad I don't have to hunting the internet to find the products I am sampling.

You will want to follow this company on all of their social media links (and they have them all covered).

Solution Sunday--Natural Vitality Energy 28 Review

I recently had the great privilege of reviewing a product from Natural Vitality called Energy 28.  I am one who is always looking for natural forms of energy--otherwise, I practically live on coffee.  I never seem to get enough sleep, and I am a workaholic when it comes to many things in my life.

Here is the website's description of the product:

Energy begins with a balanced diet, with the body assimilating life-giving nutrients from the soil, processed into edible forms by plants. Because our diets are generally lacking in high-quality nutrition, we often turn to sugar and caffeine for quick energy at the expense of the health and sustained energy we could obtain from true nutrients. When the body is well nourished, a person is less likely to be depressed and more likely to have adequate energy levels. Energy28 was created to deliver supplemental natural energy from whole-food and natural sources

I will admit that when I first tried this product, I was somewhat skeptical.  I have found that "natural energy drinks" just don't do the job they say they do. And I was worried about the flavor.  But I followed the instructions, and added it to my water along with some Splenda.  I have to admit that I noticed no difference.

Since the product failed to work the way I thought it should the first time, I decided to give up on it.  And then I got a mild cold, and I figured that using this product wouldn't help during times of illness.  I knew I would have to try it again, but I have to admit that I was not looking forward to it.

A couple days later, my mom gave me a call and asked if she could try the product.  She read the instructions on the back, and I discovered through our conversation that I had only taken about half of the suggested amount. I told her to go ahead and try it and let me know what she thought.  And quite quickly, she became a believer.  I think she used it every day for several days in a row, and she discovered she was not nearly as tired.  I was still recovering from my cold, so I thought I would wait until I was past my cold.

Today, I was absolutely exhausted.  The afternoon hit, and I had two choices--maybe three, come to think of it.  I could take a nap (out of the question), drink some coffee (that was an idea), or try Energy 28 again.  I decided to give the energy drink another try.  I made sure to use the correct dosage, and I have to admit that I did not like the flavor (I know it would be better in fruit juice or a smoothie), but it was quickly gone.  And almost immediately, my tiredness dissipated.  I have to admit that this Energy 28 carried me through several hours this afternoon without the horrible crash that sometimes comes from coffee or soda pop.

My favorite thing about Energy 28 is that contains natural ingredients including lots of vegetables.  While I may not always like the flavor, I know that if I decided to make a smoothie and use this as one of the ingredients, I would not even be able to taste it.  My mom is also sold on this drink (she has used 5 hour energy and other such drinks with mixed reviews), and she has already said that we need to buy this product to keep on hand.

Right now, there are not a lot of places that sell Natural Vitality Products.  You can check out the list here.  However, we are so committed to these products that we are going to search them out and ask retailers to order Energy 28 if necessary.

In short, if you are one who is in need of an afternoon pick-me-up (or you just need a little bit of energy), I encourage you to buy Energy 28!  You will find, as I certainly did, that this natural product will give you all of the energy you need with no "crash" later on.

Per FTC guidelines, I was sent a free product to review in exchange for my honest opinion.  I was not financially compensated in any other way, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Twinkle Tuesday--New Chapter Supplements Review

Earlier this month, I was asked to do a review of several New Chapter supplements.  Before I review each supplement individually, I would like to say that none of the supplements ever made me nauseous nor caused me any ill effects.  That is always important when it comes to supplements because some brands tend to cause me stomach issues.  For the purposes of the review, I was given about a week's worth of all the supplements I am reviewing.

Turmeric Force is considered to be the foundation for good health.  Since I only took it for a week, I cannot say that I noticed any positive changes.  I am sure I would have to take it for a much longer time.

Zyflamend was my favorite of these supplements.  I just turned 37, and while I am not a senior citizen yet, my bones and muscles are not what they once were.  I tend to get back pain when standing for a long time.  I was so excited to see that these help reduce inflammation.  And I am pleased to admit that these pills did exactly what they said they would do.  I had no pain in my back when I took these.  I was pretty happy, to say the least.  These are ones I would definitely be interested in taking long term.

Holy Basil is used to help manage stress.  I will admit that I  had not stress in my life when I started taking these.  I am just beginning my summer break, and so I cannot tell you if these reduced my stress, but I will say they were the smallest and the easiest of the pills to take (not that any of the pills were hard to swallow!).

New Chapter Bone Strength Take Care was also a fantastic supplement!  I take calcium every day, but it is clear that this supplement has better quality calcium and Vitamin D than I normally take.  I would definitely replace my current Calcium supplement with this product.

New Chapter has a fantastic line of products, and if you get a chance, be sure to check them out!  Their supplements are certainly better than what you find at most drugstores.  It is definitely worth it to pay for quality where your health is concerned.

I was given free products for review in exchange for this review.  The company did not influence my review in any way.  All opinions are 100 percent mine.
