Today is July 4, 2012--Celebrate the Birth of Our Nation!

Well, it is July 4h--the celebration of the birth of our nation back in 1776.  I thought I would spotlight a few of the special happenings around our great country.  If you did not watch the video above, I recommend it!  It is the Disneyland fireworks show from just a few days ago--July 1.  If you are able to get to Disneyland tonight and are not bothered by the crowds, it ought to be one awesome celebration!

Near Ridgefield, Connecticut?  Take a historic bike ride (that has already begun, but maybe you can still check it out!)

Near Los Angeles, CA?  Head over to the Rose Bowl:

Stadium opens at 10 this morning.

4th of July Party Games Packet Review

I am probably more excited about these printables than any I have gotten to review in quite a while.  Why?  I am a history buff, and these printables are filled with activities that would double as fun teaching aids in a classroom or even a homeschool situation.  These are printables that celebrate something that should be very close to the heart of all Americans--our heritage!

These fantastic 4th of July Party Games printables include 20 great games/activities.  They include:

• Independence Day Trivia game
• Independence Day Mad Libs
• Patriotic Trivia match game
• Presidential Trivia game
• State Nicknames match game
• Beers of the World placemat game
• Nasty British Food trivia
• Military Trivia
• Baseball Trivia
• Survival of the Fittest party game
• Red, White & Blue Scavenger Hunt
• Happy 4th of July Left-Right
• American History trivia
• Independence Day Synonyms game
• Fast Food trivia
• US Beers match game
• Tangled Tongue Twisters Tango
• Pick the Party Stars
• Meet Your Match acting game
• The Color of Music

Talk about a great deal!  I could never come up with these if I tried!  There are fun, interactive games such as the Happy 4th of July left-right (always a popular game, but I never thought of doing it on our nation's birthday!) and the Meet Your Match acting game (probably only for teens and adults, but there are loads of possibilities with this one).  Then there are more traditional worksheets such as Military Trivia and Presidential Trivia.  These amongst others can be used in the classroom just as easily as a party.  Especially as it gets to the end of the school year, teachers appreciate printables like this that can be used as "fillers."

I absolutely appreciate the versatility of these printables.  Some of them are suitable only for Independence Day, but others would work for any party.  Sometimes you just need to tweak them a little bit.  And the best part is that once you purchase and download these, they are yours to print forever!  I could spend my time creating these, but why reinvent the wheel?  These are such high quality, and they are sure to be loved for many years to come.

Be sure to watch out for a giveaway coming very soon!  You don't want to miss out on this promotion!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
