I am so excited to bring you another fantastic gluten free product! These baked goods are not just gluten free, but nut free, egg free, and dairy free. They're also extremely delicious!

My friend, Donna, has a favorite--it is the Vanilla Cookie. They are so yummy and a bit addictive. They're great plain or with ice cream and bananas. Her kids love them too!



Another delicious flavor is the Chocolate Chocolate Chip. It has a great chocolate flavor, and it is nicely soft.  When if comes to  gluten free cookies, that is very important. These cookies were her kids' favorite.

Udi's Gluten Free Granola Review

I was quite privileged to be offered the chance to try some incredible products from Udi's Gluten Free Foods.  I do not have any food allergies, and thankfully there is none in my family.  However, I also know that food allergies can be developed at any time in a person's life.  And if the food tastes good and is healthy, why not give it a try?

At this point, I have had the opportunity to try three of the four flavors.  I have not tried the original flavor, but if it is as good as the other three (and I am sure it is!), I know I will like it.  I am rather partial to the cranberry flavor, but that is because I do love cranberries.  I have gotten rather hooked on eating this granola every morning for many different reasons.  

My preferred way to eat this granola is with Greek yogurt.  I have not tried this with milk, and I have not tried it in any recipes.  Maybe I will one day, but I am completely satisfied to eat it for breakfast.  It is very filling.  In fact, one morning recently when I chose to eat something else, you know what?  I was hungry within a very short time!  

Of course, the question you might ask me is how it compares to other granola since this granola is gluten free.  Interesting you should ask!  Just days before this arrived, we had bought another name-brand granola.  I thought it was pretty good, but of course, it was not gluten free.  I tried Udi's granola, and I honestly could tell no difference in flavor.  In fact, if anything, I liked it better!  There is no way anyone would know it was gluten free (unless you told them!).

When I checked out the nutrition facts on the back, I was somewhat concerned because it seemed low on fiber compared to the other variety we had on hand.  But then I compared the serving sizes, and I discovered that the serving size listed on the back of the Udi's granola was for half of the amount the other brand listed.  Udi's was comparable on everything nutritionally speaking, and it was only one gram of fiber less than the "leading" brand.

I also looked at the ingredients.  Since reading the book Unjunk Your Junk Food, I find that I pay very close attention to the ingredients.  I mainly look for the ingredients that should not be in the food, and I was pleased to find that this granola had all the right ingredients.  Definitely an outstanding food and one that I intend to continue eating!

There are no gluten-free issues in my family, but I am always willing to find things that are healthy and taste good. Gluten-free has come a long ways from where it used to be.  And when it comes to food, I am always willing to try something new.  My blog friend, Donna, was super excited when she had the opportunity to try Snyder's Gluten Free Pretzels. I know that Snyder's is a good company, and so does my friend, Donna. She was not disappointed.  They were better than good, they were excellent! Her family loved them too! They couldn't tell the difference in the taste. She said that she loves the small packages in which they come, too, because it means they are easy for on-the-go.
