Truly's All Natural Deodorant Review

Let me completely honest with you.  I like all-natural products, but when it comes to deodorant, I cannot say that I was totally sold on the idea of using an all natural product.  After all, I don't want to use a deodorant that will fail because it doesn't include aluminum to clog the pores and keep perspiration from coming.  I am not one who sweats a lot, and I have never really had a problem with being smelly, but I don't want to take the chance.  I have believed that I had to have a deodorant with an antiperspirant or I would not be fully protected.  My daughter uses an all-natural deodorant, but she is not even ten yet.  It works fine for her, but me?  I was pretty doubtful.

When I saw the chance to review Truly's All Natural Deodorant, I was pretty hesitant.  Why would I want to use something like this?  It couldn't work the same.  But I went ahead and applied, and to my surprise, I was selected to review it.  The company agreed to send me a free product in exchange for my honest opinion.  So I figured I would give it a try.  What did I have to lose?

Truly's All Natural Deodorant is a product that contains organic coconut oil, powdered sugar (sugar and cornstarch), beeswax, and baking soda.  You can see from the picture above that it comes in a round container.  They have chosen not to put it in a stick form because in higher temperatures, the coconut oil could melt and become pretty messy in a stick form.  I still have to admit that I wish they would put it in a stick form because it wouldn't melt in our cold climate.  But I found that using my fingers to apply the deodorant under my arms worked pretty well after I got used to it.

I have to say that I was amazed at how well this worked.  The real test for me was using this product all day long and going to work out--that is when I sweat a lot.  I fully expected to feel wet under my arms and smell bad.  Neither happened!  I'm sure there was still sweat under there, but I felt dry, and there was no smell!  This stuff worked amazingly well.  It is the perfect natural deodorant for kids, women, and even men, in my opinion.

And if you have sensitive skin, let me fill you on a story that really blew me away.  I do shave under my arms several times a week.  I never use deodorant after shaving.  But I figured I would give this a try.  Right after shaving, I gave this deodorant a try.  And you know what?  I had no pain or burning whatsoever!  This was the experience that truly sold me on this deodorant.

You might wonder how four such simple ingredients could work so well.  Let me explain just a little.  The sugar combines with your perspiration and creates a solution that keeps your body from growing odor-causing bacteria.  You probably already know that baking soda fights odor.  Coconut oil not only gives a pleasing smell to this deodorant, but it inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi.  It is also has moisturizing properties.

So in my humble opinion, I was pretty happy with this deodorant.  It made me think that I should switch to this kind of deodorant, and maybe I don't need that potentially harmful aluminum after all.  I still wish they would put it in stick form, but I certainly makes me rethink my deodorant use.  And by the way--I have only had to reapply once, and I probably could have gotten away without reapplying it--I was just being extra cautious.

So be sure to check out Truly's All Natural Deodorant, and don't forget to like them on facebook. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Purex Sponsor Spotlight: Honey Bunches of Oats, Soft Scrub, and Dry Idea

I have a big giveaway coming up after St. Patrick's Day that will involve Purex Insiders sponsors.  I am going to post about half of the reviews here right now in preparation.

I had the opportunity to try New Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends cereal, and it was fantastic!  I have always likes Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, but this was special.  The flavor was Mango Coconut, and it was strong enough without being too strong.  But I do like mango and coconut, so I suppose that did help. I normally have my cereal with Greek yogurt instead of milk, and I was quite pleased at the result.  I think I ate the whole box myself!  This flavor is one of twelve flavors they have, and you can feel good about giving your family something nutritious and filling.

Follow them on facebook, twitter, and youtube for the latest news and deals.

I also got to try Soft Scrub Total All-Purpose Cleaner.  For me, Soft Scrub brings back memories of when I was growing up and all they had was abrasive cleaners or cleaners that didn't work well.  That is, until Soft Scrub came along.  It was the wonder cleanser that was perfect for cleaning your counters and sink without scratching them.  This product is no exception.  On really tough stains (that we tend to get from our hard water in the country), it doesn't always work as well as you might like.  But for normal, everyday cleansing, this is perfect!  We used it in our kitchen, and it as good as it ever was if not better.

Be sure to sign up for their newsletter and  follow them on facebook for the latest information and deals.

And finally tonight, I would like to tell you about my experiences with Dry Idea Advanced Dry Fresh Deodorant and Anti-Perspirant.  Let me tell you that I do not normally like roll-on style deodorants.  I prefer clear solids or invisible.  But this product from Dry Idea is pretty tough to beat.  It goes on clear, and it lasts better than some of my other products that I have enjoyed for years.  I never found myself smelly with this roll-on even after a hard work-out in the gym.  It also never "bled" onto my clothing.  Once it went on my underarms, that is where it stayed.  This is probably my favorite deodorant/anti-perspirant that I have had the privilege to try.

Be sure to join their e-mail family and follow them on facebook so you can know the latest from this company.

Be sure to come back on March 20th for a giveaway featuring these products.

Dry Idea Review and Purex Let's Be Honest Campaign Giveaway--6 winners! (Ends 7/20) U.S.

Well, I am killing two birds with one stone.  Not literally!  But there are two campaigns with which I have been involved over the past few weeks, and it is time to tell you about them, review one of them, and give away some fantastic coupons!

First of all, I was fortunate enough to review Dry Idea Advanced Dry Antiperspirant and Deodorant.  Now, I will be the first to tell you that I am rather picky about my deodorants.  I am not a fan of roll-on deodorants, but that is what I was sent.  I never like the wet feel of them, and generally, they don't work well.  But I was willing to try this.

I was surprised that this deodorant did not feel "yucky" as I rolled it on, and it did not leave residue on my clothes--except once, and I think that was just a fluke.  This ended up being a deodorant that was easy to use, smelled good, and worked well.  I never felt smelly even after working out.  We have not had a really hot summer here in the Pacific Northwest, but when I work out, I end up covered in sweat.  I never felt I had to replace my deodorant even after working out hard.

I would recommend that you go over to Dry Idea's facebook before July 20 at 5 P.M. Pacific time because they have a contest going on right now!  Glad I happened to see that!

Now to the second part of this contest.  Because I am a Purex insider (which is awesome!), I get sent special things now and then.  They have a campaign going on called Let's Be Honest.  You will need to check out the videos here and report back to which one is your favorite.  Just follow the instructions in the rafflecopter, and you will be entered to win.

So, what am I giving away?  Three Dry Idea coupons--free Dry Idea Advanced Dry product, and the coupons expire on 12/31 of this year.  And I am also giving away 3 coupons--free Purex Triple Action Detergent that also expire 12/31 of this year.  So, one of my U.S. readers will get the chance to win these coupons.  Notice that the giveaway is ending tomorrow night 7/20 at 9 P.M. Pacific time!  That means you need to get going and enter!  This is a special gift for you guys, my loyal readers.  I don't plan to promote it big-time.  I just want you guys to get the chance to win coupons.  After all, it's a tough time financially for lots of us, and free coupons are always fantastic.  So just enter below by tomorrow night!

I was sent a sample product from the company for review.  I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.
