When it comes to taking a shower, I have enjoyed using body scrubs off and on for several years.  My problem is that I can't seem to find one that I really like that works well on my skin.  My skin tends to dry out pretty easily in the shower.  I don't struggle with skin allergens, but I do find that products that are too harsh or not full of the best ingredients, my skin tends to itch--sometimes almost unbearably.  So I have not used a body scrub for quite some time.

I have heard of Tree Hut, and I have heard of Sugar Scrubs, but I have never tired either.  I jumped at the chance to try this product, and from the first moment I opened it, I was hooked.  The smell alone was enough to drive me wild!

I am grateful that the company has given me permission to copy the ingredient list because I now know why this stuff is so great!

I did not read the ingredients before I tried this myself.  I admit it--I just jumped right in and tried it.  The feeling of this scrub was unbelievable!  It was not too rough on my skin, and it felt so good on my skin.  There is enough of a "scrub" to it that it effectively removed the dead skin cells from my body, but it also had enough moisturizing properties that it left my skin feeling soft and not dried out!

One thing I like to do when testing a product such as this is compare it to similar products that I have been using.  Without naming names of other products, I used another "scrub," and it was so harsh that it left behind red streaks on my skin.  I also used a regular shower gel with a scrub brush, and the results were absolutely disastrous!  My skin itched so much that I decided I would NEVER use that product again in that fashion.

When I went back to the Tree Hut scrub, I was so relieved.  I think my skin thanked me!  I know this is a product I will continue to use in the future.  I am already making plans to buy this product in the future.  This is something I can actually use every time I take a shower and not fear my skin drying out.

First of all, I decided that in order to try these magnificent products, I wanted my hair to be as "yucky" as possible.  I used two days worth of heavy hair gel and hair spray.  I figured that the more "goop" in the hair, the better I could see how well it works.

I have a before and after picture of my hair, so here goes.

That is my "nasty" head of hair.  While it may not look too bad, trust me!  It was very noisy and dirty.  Every time I moved it, it made noise, and it didn't like to move very well.  It felt horrible.

I think you can see the difference.  This is after using the shampoo, conditioner, and serum.  I was impressed with all the products.  They cleaned well, and I can't remember the last time my hair had felt so clean and soft!  And it was indeed lasting.  I also enjoyed using the hair dryer with the serum as it said.  It's always nice to use products that actually use the hair dryer to their benefit.  My hair was so easy to style after using these.

I also wanted to make sure I had a chance to use the reconstructor.

I love the way my hair turned out!  I had been using the shampoo and conditioner for a little while, and then I tried the recontructor.  Again, I used the hair dryer with this product, and wow!

I finally did get a chance to try the Hair Mask.  I used it just before I took a shower, and i did not cover my hair like it said.  I just made sure that I didn't rub up against anything.  I rinsed it out, and although it certainly made my hair feel nice and soft, I didn't notice any major differences.  What I mean is that I have been using the other products, and my hair is now in really good shape.  It comes to mind that this should probably be the first thing you use when you start using this line of products.  If you have styled your hair a lot, and it is severely damaged, this is the perfect thing to restore your hair.  I am going to save it for when my hair is in really bad shape.

What I like to do is compare with my normal products when I am using something new.  So that is what I did.  I tried a couple different things I had been using previously, but my results were not (and are not) as good as this.  In fact, my poor hair was not nearly as soft and clean-feeling as when I used the nuNAAT products.  I thought I found good stuff before, but this seems to be even better!

I searched out their site to see where I can buy their products, and I was quite pleased to see a variety of choices.  For me, the online retailers are the best bet for me, and the prices are pretty good.  If interested, be sure to check out this part of the site.

Alpha Hydrox 10% Enhanced Lotion Review

As I get older, my skin gets older.  Thankfully, I have been taking good care of my skin for most of my life, but I still tend to struggle with minor wrinkles and often dry skin and acne.  I am always on the lookout for products that can help me repair my skin and make it better.  It is even better when products can truly protect my skin from potential damage due to advancing age.

I am very happy to tell you about Alpha Hydrox 10% Enhanced Lotion.  I have been using this product off and on for several weeks now.  I wanted to truly take the time to give this a thorough review, and so I truly spent some time finding out the best way I could use this on my skin.

When I first began using this, I really struggled with it burning my skin.  No damage was caused, but it just seemed too intense for my skin.  But on the flip side, it truly gave my skin a wonderfully soft and supple feeling.  I didn't want to give up.  So I began to experiment.

What I discovered was this.  First of all, it was very important that I followed up any use of this product with a moisturizing cream.  It says this on the back, and I highly recommend doing this.  It will not interfere with the workings of the alpha hyrox.  Secondly, I discovered that only using this every other day seemed to have better results with my skin.  The tingling still occurs off and on, but it much more tolerable.  I don't have overly sensitive skin, but sometimes I do struggle with skin dryness when using lotions and creams like this.  Alpha Hydrox is not something I have ever used with any degree of consistency, and I think my skin is slowly getting used to it.

I am honestly quite impressed with this lotion.  According to their website, it has the highest percentage of Alpha Hydrox available without a prescription.  It is also quite affordable ($11.99) which means I plan to buy this in the future.  It also lasts a long time, so this is a great investment.  My skin today feels softer, smoother, and I feel like it is able to breathe.  The dead skin cells are gone, and I feel like my clean, clear skin is shining through.

School of Wash Women's Line Review

I am quite pleased to tell you of some fantastic products I have recently had the opportunity to review.  I don't know about you, but I prefer nice-smelling, all-natural products for cleaning myself.  I also prefer a nice smell.  But of course, if the product doesn't work, there is no point in using it no matter what good ingredients it contains.

School of Wash (SOW)  is a family-owned company whose product lines were inspired by a girl complaining about using "baby" products when she was far past the point of being a baby.  So "Mom" got busy and developed a line of cool bath products.  This product line that began for kids has expanded to include him, her, pets, and more.  Ingredients are only the freshest ones available, and they are:

• Paraben-free
• Talc-free
• SLS-free
• Sulfate-free
• Sodium Chloride-free
• Dye-free

When you order products from the company, they make up fresh product just for you.  And the scents from which to choose are absolutely amazing!

I got to order both the handmade body wash and handmade whipped pumice foot scrub (pictured above).  They let me pick the scents I would like, and I had so much fun!  I picked peanut butter cookies for the body wash and chocolate peanut butter foot scrub.  

When the items arrived, I smelled both, and my hands-down favorite was the chocolate peanut butter.  The peanut butter cookies was nice, but it was mild.  The real test, of course, was actually using the products.  And I'm getting there, I promise.

Let me say that the body wash took some getting used to.  I say that because it was different than most body washes I have used.  That is probably because I am used to body washes with all the extra garbage in them. Once I used this with a better body scrubber (that I will review later on), I found that I finally could smell the scent on my skin, and it lathered up much better.  I think I have gotten used to this body wash, and the best part was the smell!

As to the foot scrub, this was an instant hit with me!  It was not too harsh, and the smell was so unbelievable that I really wanted to eat the scrub while in the shower!  I never used the scrub elsewhere on my body, but it seems gentle enough that I almost did.  I loved the way it felt on my feet, and I look forward to continuing to use it.

If you can't tell, I loved these products, and I believe I would like to order more from this country in the future.

French-milled plant oil soap made in Australia Review

I always love to find new beauty products, and there are some fantastic companies out there that produce amazing products.  And this is indeed one of them.  I was sent three fantastic soaps that are made of plant oil.  That's right!  The three scents I got to try were Lemon Myrtle, Ocean Beach and French Pear.  The scents were magnificent, but I have to admit that I was initially skeptical when I saw "vegetable oil" as one of the ingredients.  I have tried all sorts of soaps, but vegetable oil soap?

The first thing I noticed is that these wonderful soaps got a lot of lather when I used them in the shower.  I am used to soaps that have lotion in them, and usually there is very little lather.  Not so with these.  And they really did feel good on my skin.  According to their site, you will use less lotion since plant oil does not dry out your skin as much.  I believe they're right.  I have used other soaps and shower gels that contain lotion, and some of them really did dry my skin out (even though they are supposed to moisturize your skin).

These French-milled (long-lasting) soaps feel good on my skin, and the scents are absolutely wonderful!  If you are looking for a special gift for the lady in your life (think Valentine's Day), this just may be the thing to surprise her!

I am one who tends to have a dry face.  It's not as bad as it once was, but I always have to watch out for products that irritate or dry out my skin.  Not to mention the sun which can cause damage to my skin no matter what I do.

From the moment I applied this skin treatment to my face, I was sold.  It had an instant cooling effect on my skin, and it added the needed moisture to my skin that just made it feel good.  The moisturizing is deep and lasting.  And because this aloe vera treatment is some of the purest form of aloe vera that you can buy (at least in a jar), you will feel and notice the difference.  I have tried all sorts of night lotions and creams, but this is one that I really like.  Since using it, I can't say I have had any major dry spots on my face.  I do have an irritation to my skin that appeared right before I started using this, and I think it is beginning to help heal this issue as well.
