NAAT Brazilian Keratin Hair Care Products Review

I am quite pleased to tell you about a wonderful company that makes high-quality hair products.  Introducing
NAAT Brazilian Keratin hair collection by nuNAAT..  Its unique ingredients both  restore and intensify the hair's nutritional balance. Their signature Green Keratin formula stays in your hair longer and doesn't rinse out easily.  I got to review the following products:

  • NAAT Brazilian Keratin Daily Care Shampoo
  • NAAT Brazilian Keratin Daily Care Conditioner
  • NAAT Brazilian Keratin Intensive Hair Mask
  • NAAT Brazilian Keratin Liquid Keratin Leave-In Reconstructor
  • NAAT Brazilian Keratin Serum Ultra Shine

First of all, I decided that in order to try these magnificent products, I wanted my hair to be as "yucky" as possible.  I used two days worth of heavy hair gel and hair spray.  I figured that the more "goop" in the hair, the better I could see how well it works.

I have a before and after picture of my hair, so here goes.
That is my "nasty" head of hair.  While it may not look too bad, trust me!  It was very noisy and dirty.  Every time I moved it, it made noise, and it didn't like to move very well.  It felt horrible.

I think you can see the difference.  This is after using the shampoo, conditioner, and serum.  I was impressed with all the products.  They cleaned well, and I can't remember the last time my hair had felt so clean and soft!  And it was indeed lasting.  I also enjoyed using the hair dryer with the serum as it said.  It's always nice to use products that actually use the hair dryer to their benefit.  My hair was so easy to style after using these.

I also wanted to make sure I had a chance to use the reconstructor.
I love the way my hair turned out!  I had been using the shampoo and conditioner for a little while, and then I tried the recontructor.  Again, I used the hair dryer with this product, and wow!

I finally did get a chance to try the Hair Mask.  I used it just before I took a shower, and i did not cover my hair like it said.  I just made sure that I didn't rub up against anything.  I rinsed it out, and although it certainly made my hair feel nice and soft, I didn't notice any major differences.  What I mean is that I have been using the other products, and my hair is now in really good shape.  It comes to mind that this should probably be the first thing you use when you start using this line of products.  If you have styled your hair a lot, and it is severely damaged, this is the perfect thing to restore your hair.  I am going to save it for when my hair is in really bad shape.

What I like to do is compare with my normal products when I am using something new.  So that is what I did.  I tried a couple different things I had been using previously, but my results were not (and are not) as good as this.  In fact, my poor hair was not nearly as soft and clean-feeling as when I used the nuNAAT products.  I thought I found good stuff before, but this seems to be even better!

I searched out their site to see where I can buy their products, and I was quite pleased to see a variety of choices.  For me, the online retailers are the best bet for me, and the prices are pretty good.  If interested, be sure to check out this part of the site.

Parvenu Hair Products Review--The Only Hair Products I Will Ever Need!

Over the years, I have had many different hairstyles.  If you would have seen me in high school, you would have seen my long hair--down to my waist, and I insisted on wave perms once every six months or so.  My hair is thick and naturally blonde.  When I lost all my weight, I decided to get my hair cut, and I now have shoulder-length hair, but my hair is still just as thick as it always was.  And I still struggle with split ends and even tangles, if you can believe it.

There is another issue I struggled with as a child and teen, and once in a while it still makes an appearance.  Dandruff/dry scalp.  Thankfully I don't have to use those horrible dandruff shampoos any more, but I still tend to struggle with dry scalp.  And add hairstyling products to that, and my hair gets to feeling really awful (not to mention my scalp).

Well, I think I have found a solution to my hair care issues.  As a blogger, I get to try all sorts of products, and I have given rave reviews to many of them.  But let me tell you--this tops them all.  I want to introduce you to Parnevu, if you have not ever heard of this line of hair care products before.  I will admit that I never had, so let me tell you a little about these products.

When I heard that the "secret" ingredient to these was tea tree oil, I was quite intrigued.  Over the years, tea tree oil has been a bit of a cure-all for me from yeast infections to acne to mouthwash, it seems to work well!  And indeed, it is advertised as the "wonder from Down Under" for a reason.  This stuff works, and yes, it comes from Australia.

I was privileged to get to try three products from Parvenu (you can see them pictured above).  I tried T-Tree Shampoo, T-Tree Spray Glosser, and Extra-Dry Leave-In Conditioner.  I would have happily taken a picture of my hair, but honestly, a picture would not have shown anything different.  This is one of those things that I would notice, and it is more about the feel than the look.

Let's start with the T-Tree Shampoo.  It was all I could do to keep from writing a review the evening I first used this.  Why?  Because the moment I massaged it into my hair and scalp, I felt the tea tree oil invigorating my scalp.  It was so wonderful, and I knew I had found the shampoo I was always looking for!  This stuff smells pretty good, too.  And since using this shampoo, I have not noticed my scalp itching almost at all.  Even though it is a shampoo, it honestly does a pretty good job of conditioning my hair.  It replaces the moisture that everyday styling takes away.

I also got to try the T-Tree Spray Glosser.  I got this with the idea that I might be able to use this instead of a mousse or spray gel, and basically, I was right.  This along with the next product I will tell you about have become my staples when it comes to styling my hair.  I still occasionally use hair spray, but honestly, this give a nice gloss and shine to my hair and even helps hold the basic shape of my hairstyle.  No, it's not a substitute for hairspray, but it gives my hair a "damp" look that really looks nice and stays somewhat in place.

I also got to try the Extra-Dry Leave-In Conditioner, and I cannot tell you how much I love this stuff!  I did get the extra dry as opposed to the regular, and you can see what kind of container this product has.  I like it because you don't have to deal with a spray bottle that stops working or gets clogged with the conditioner.  And this stuff is absolutely fabulous!  I used this conditioner after I washed my hair and practically ever day for styling.  And it does work like a mousse for holding my hair in place.  I never felt that my hair got greasy or anything else like that.  It conditioned my hair well, and I am definitely sold on this product!

So, what do you think?  This company has a whole line of wonderful products (and they are priced well, in my opinion), and I hope to get to check out even more of them.  I feel like this is the hair care product I have been looking for all of my life, and I think my product search in this area is done!

Update:  I decided to post a picture after all.  So here is a picture of my hair:

Neuma Blow Dry Lotion, Smoothing Creme & Style Texturizer Review

My hair is not incredibly hard to style--it was when it was longer, but it has been short for years.  I have chin-length hair, but it is very thick.  When I wash my hair, I sometimes have to blow dry it or it will drip all over everything!  It can be quite annoying.  I have not been one who has ever had any success with "blow drying hair products" that promise they will help you style your hair.  I use them, and my hair still falls flat.  I sometimes even struggle with styling products because I have so much hair!

I am very pleased to share with you my review of three Neuma products I got to try.

Neuma Smoothing Creme

This was actually the first item I tried, and I was pleased with the way it easily worked through my hair.  My hair was damp, and this easily went through my hair, moisturizing it all the way.  It also helped to style my hair and make it feel nice and soft.  I had no frizz nor flyaways while using this creme, and humidity was not a problem.  My hair stayed exactly where it should be, and it was nice to know that it was protected from UVA and UVB rays (even though my color is natural anyway).  It has all-natural plant-based ingredients in it, and I had no problem with it building up any excess "yuck" in my hair!  Always a bonus!

Neuma Blow Dry Lotion

I wasn't sure how this would work.  I used this after my shower about a week ago, and I was not sure what would happen.  I worked the lotion through my hair easily enough, and then I brought out my blow dryer.  I used my blow dryer normally on my hair, and I was amazed at how well this worked!  My hair did not feel dried out (even though I held my blow dryer closer to my head than I have heard you're supposed to), and my hair still felt soft throughout the day.  My hair held in place very well, and I knew my hair was protected from the blow dryer as well as the harmful sun rays.

Neuma Style Texturizer

This product was a nice surprise for me--probably my favorite of the bunch.  I used this to shape my hair, and it held!  It worked well to make a touchable style that stayed fairly well through the day.  It certainly was not greasy in any way, and it easily smoothed through, and my hair looked nice and shiny.

Just for clarification:

Neuma Hair Care Products contain:

Renewable, beneficial plant-based ingredients
Certified Organic Extracts
85% post consumer recycled bottles
100% certified wind power
100% recycled fiber containers

I often forget to look at what my health and beauty products contain, and it is nice to know that I can be assured that only the best ingredients are found in Neuma products.  I invite you to check them out at the various links throughout this review.  I think you may find one (or three) hair products that will make your hair look great!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

Okay, let me be honest with you.  I do not shampoo my hair every day.  In fact, I usually wash my hair 2-3 times a week.  I find it does just fine on that schedule, and it makes my life easier.  I started doing that when my hair was long, and even with my short hair, I prefer washing my hair as little as possible.

A couple years ago, I heard about dry shampoo.  I tried some, and I was pretty happy with the results, but I decided to come up with a cheaper alternative.  I was not happy with the alternative--at least not completely happy--but I did not see the point of investing in a dry shampoo that really did not deliver.

Enter Batiste Dry Shampoo.  I was sent a full size bottle of Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush Fragrance, and if you can love a dry shampoo, I love it!  I work out at least 3 times a week, and I sweat big time.  My hair is normally dripping with sweat, and as you can imagine, it is not fun to walk around with damp hair.  Especially when it is damp with sweat!

I sprayed the dry shampoo on my hair, and immediately, my hair looked nice and clean!  And the smell was nice as well.  Not only that, but as I let it dry a little, I was able to style it with ease.  I actually wondered what the difference was between this dry shampoo and other brands, and I was intrigued by what I found.  Most brands use cornstarch, but not Batiste!  They use rice starch, so it weighs less on your hair.  And I can tell you that is true!  I think I have found a fantastic product that I plan to use as needed in the years to come.

If you check out their entire line of products, you will discover that they have various kinds of Batiste dry shampoo--for every hair color and style!  So you are sure to find something that will work.  What could be better than going to work out, coming home, spraying this in your hair, and going on a date (without actually washing your hair!)?

I encourage you to check out this company on facebook and twitter.  I promise you'll be glad you did!

Malibu Blondes Natural Wellness Treatment Review

I have naturally blonde hair (yes, I've heard the blonde jokes all my life, but amazingly, those who really know me don't think the jokes stick), and I am always looking for products that will enhance my hair.  My hair is thick and short now (used to be long), and I have tried everything from highlights to hair color to other kinds of "blonde shampoos."

I was sent a packet of Malibu Blondes Natural Wellness Treatment for my review, and I was pleased to try it. It is safe for natural and non-natural blondes, and it claims to enhance and protect the blonde you already have.  It restores your hair, and it protects it.  Those things are important to me because we have very hard water in this house, so I was curious to see how well this would work.

The packet itself is dry, and it is to be used in the shower.  You rub it between your wet palms, and then you work it through your hair.  This is exactly what I did, and I left it on the maximum time--5 minutes.  After rinsing it out and styling it, I have to admit I did not see any big difference.  However, let it be noted that I had used their hard water treatment only a week or so ago.  I think I would be hard pressed to see any major differences.  I do know that it kept my hair soft and shiny, and I am sure that regular use would keep it that way.  This can be used as often as the user would like, and it is also an eco-friendly product.  They also have a whole line of :"blonde" products, so be sure to check them out!

ProDesign Hard Hold Gel Review

Hair Care USA is full-service, licensed salon that is able to meet the beauty needs of all your family members.  Their website was created to be an extension of their physical salon, and they even offer online consultation.  You can trust that the advice and expertise you receive from this company will be thorough and accurate.

I was pretty excited to get to try their ProDesign Hard  Styling Gel.  I don't have long hair as I did in my youth, but I have very thick hair, and there is a lot of it!  When it comes to styling, if I try to do more than the normal, simple style, my hair is usually uncooperative.  It has always been difficult to get appropriate height to my hair and make it stay.

I love the way the company describes this styling gel:  "rubber cement hold with a firm bouncy look."  The company says that this will work on wet or blow-dry style, and the hold factor is listed as 16.  You can also use this for scrunching curls for firm definition.

When I first used this, I noticed that my fingers did feel sticky.  But I think that was to be expected.  I easily slicked it through my hair, and then I styled it.  My hair was dry at the time.  I will have to admit that this hair gel works.  I was able to get some lasting height (I did have to add some hairspray just to get it going the right way), and it did hold well.

My only real complaint is the way my hair feels the following day.  I do not normally wash my hair daily.  So this hair gels feels like dried paste on my hair the following day, and if it were not for dry shampoo, I would really struggle to brush through it.  I think this is to be expected as well.  I will say it is easy to wash out of my hair.

So are you wondering where you might find this hair gel?  Check the list of retailers here.  And, of course, you will want to follow a wonderful company like this, so be sure to like them on facebook.
