Chatimal Talking Bear Review (from Treat Him/Treat Her

Isn't this just the most darling thing in the world?  Let me introduce you to Chatimal Talking Bear, a great gift idea from Treat Her.  I had the great joy of having my daughter review this darling item, and let me verify to all of my readers that this was a tremendous hit with my daughter (me, too!).  This cute bear is one of those electronics that repeats back what you say to it.  All you need to do it press the paw of the bear, and a red light come on.  While that light is on, it is recording what you say.  After about ten seconds, it repeats back to you what you have said.  Then it records again, and repeats what you say.  This happens about five times in succession.  Your cue that it is recording is the illuminated red light.  Indeed this is something that will pique the interest of all members of your family--including your animals!  Our cats were fascinated by it, and our dog was somewhat frightened by it.

Now, don't worry.  There is a button that switches this bear off and on.  And thankfully, the battery is easy to replace.  I don't like products like this that have specialized batteries or batteries that are difficult to change.  This is the ideal gift for the child in your family (or the adult that is a child at heart).  It is cute and affordable, and it will give the recipient hours of fun!

If this item does not interest you, there are plenty more gifts available at Treat Him, Treat Her.  You can find everything from personalized gifts to wines to just about anything you can imagine.  And if you can't find it on Treat Her, check out Treat Him as well!  For your convenience, they accept paypal (as well as other forms of payment), and they ship internationally.

Be sure to like both sites on facebook to keep up with the most current promotions.

Blankz Plush Toy Review

Photobucket

I am so pleased to tell you about a great product that my daughter and I had the chance to review.  Blankz are fantastic stuffed animals that your child can decorate with special markers.  After that, you can throw these animals in the washing machine, and as soon as the animals are dry, your child can decorate them all over again!  What a neat idea!  This perfect for your creative child, and I knew this was something my daughter would love.  And I was right.

This is a product that just made its debut this year, and it is designed with children and the economy in mind.  I had not thought about it, but what could be better than an item that can be designed over and over again?  Right now, these are only available in a limited selection of independent retailers and online, so if you are interested, be sure to check out where you can buy these amazing toys!

This was the day that "Un-Sealed" arrived, and you can see my daughter is hard at work decorating him.  She was extremely diligent, and she loved every moment of it.  It kept her occupied for almost a half hour!

I honestly tried to get her to let me wash this seal, but she is so proud of her design, I don't know if she ever will let me.  I didn't want to upset her by throwing it in the wash without her permission, so you will have to look elsewhere for reviews concerning that.  But what I can say is that I am choosing to trust the company that it will work like they say it will.  The way I look at it is that they will not be successful long if the items do not do what they say it will.

I am excited about this product because I believe it will capture the attention of children.  I would love for this to be available at larger retailers because as my daughter said in the video review, she is sure that her friends would enjoy this.  Unfortunately, if I want to get more, I have to get them online right now.  But maybe if the product begins to get picked up by other retailers, that will change.

There are several other people on my team that also reviewed this product.  Be sure to check out their reviews:

And, of course, you will want to follow Blankz on facebook, twitter, youtube, and pinterest.

As a member of Karma Media I received this product from (insert company name) in hopes of obtaining a review. All opinions are my own.

Kaskey Kids Mini Figures Review

A little while ago, I had the opportunity to review mini figures from a wonderful company:  Kaskey Kids.

The product my daughter and I reviewed was the Baseball Mini Figures.
I will tell you right now that my daughter is not really "into" sports, but she absolutely loved these!  She had a lot of fun playing with them.  She was even happier when she gave them away to one of her friends who is a baseball player.  What an awesome gift, and he was pretty happy!  Though we no longer have these toys, we know they are being enjoyed and loved by a baseball aficionado.  This is a company that has all sorts of toys for kids that are sports-related as well as other kinds of toys.  I would encourage you to check them out!  And if you enter the code SMILE at checkout, you will receive a 20 percent discount!

I was provided with a product from this company in exchange for my honest review.  I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

This Day in History March 9, 1959

This was a very important day in history for me--as well as for so many girls.  Yes, I was a Barbie doll fanatic.  At one point, I had five Ken dolls (I was proud of that) and too many Barbies  to count.  I had other dolls like Barbie as well--Dream Dancer, she was one of my favorites!  And had it not been for Barbie making her debut on this date in 1959, I would not have experienced all this wonderful playtime as I was growing up.

Barbie was something that came into my world when I was in about the third or fourth grade.  I had an entire Barbietown, USA play world, and I very faithfully played with my Barbies.  In fact, I was a senior in high school before I completely put them away.  For me, they were an escape into a better world.  My childhood was nothing great.  People made fun of my singing voice.  And guys had no attraction to me whatsoever.  My friends were few and far between.

When I entered Barbietown, I could sing, dance, act in films, and so much more.  I could deal with tragedies, dreams, hopes, desires, and even relive good times.  I was very possessive of my Barbie dolls.  They had to keep their names, personalities, and stories, and we could not change them!  Of course, my Kens had to be schizophrenic, but I made sure it always worked well.

Top Ten Holiday Toys 2011

What’s the holiday season if it isn't loaded with must-have toys worth playing a game of consumer tug-of-war over with other holiday-frenzied parents? Each season presents its own unique roster of hot holiday toys, and 2011 is no different. Let’s take a look at some of the upcoming holiday’s top wallet-draining toys to look out for on Black Friday and beyond.

1.      LeapPad by LeapFrog. Keep your kids away from your iPad by investing in LeapFrog’s own take on Apple’s behemoth electronic. LeapPad includes a built-in camera, a motion sensor, and a collection of more than 100 educational apps.
2.      Air Swimmers. If kids thought flying an airplane with a remote control was impressive, just wait until they see a fish seamlessly floating through the air. These also come in the form of flying UFOs and fairies.
3.      Let’s Rock! Elmo. Tickle Me what? Elmo returns as another holiday favorite complete with a guitar and programmed with six songs for the little ones to jam to.
4.      Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. Activision’s latest Spyro game for Wii allows kids to place action figures on a “Portal of Power” and then see those figurines represented as actual characters in the game.
5.      NERF Vortex-Vigilon. This foam-loaded gun shoots its ammunition up to 50 feet, making it NERF’s most powerful piece of toy weaponry to date.
6.      Ninjago Lightning Dragon Battle. LEGO creates a mighty array of blocky ninjas, dragons, and helicopters that complete an epic set any child is sure to enjoy.
7.      Redakai. This trading card game, based on a popular animated television show, includes cards that are made of plastic rather than paper that portray 3D animations.
8.      I Am T-Pain Microphone. Unleash your child’s inner rap/pop star with this easy to use voice modification system featuring three minutes of recording time and the ability to sync with basic computer programs.
9.      InnoTab. Essentially VTech’s answer to the LeapPad, the InnoTab puts more emphasis on keeping your child organized with a calendar, notepad, address book and more. The device also connects with PCs for downloadable interactive experiences and has a sleek design.
10.   Spy Net: Stealth Video Glasses. Incorporating a unique child-chic look, these glasses feature a built-in video camera designed to maximize any kid spy’s stealthy experience.
