This Day in History April 7, 1927


 I was intrigued by today's feature.  It was on this date in 1927, that the first demonstration of long-distance television transmission occurred.  It was provided by AT&T Bell Telephone Laboratories, and it transmitted the live picture and voice of then Secretary of Commerce Herbert Hoover from Washington D.C. over to New York City.  I had no idea that television transmission was possible that far back in history.
