On this date in 1820, the youngest of the Bronte sisters was born--Anne Bronte. I am a fan of the books of Charlotte Bronte, and I even like one of Emily Bronte's, but I don't think I ever read anything written by the youngest of the trio.  She was the daughter of a poor Irish clergyman, and she was both a teacher and governess during her life as well as a novelist/poet.  Her second (and final) book The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is considered one of the first truly sustained feminist novels.  She died way too young at the age of 29 from tuberculosis.
