This Day in History January 3, 1909

It just so happens that today is the anniversary of the birthday of one of the greatest piano comedians that ever lived (in my opinion, that is).  On this date in 1900, Victor Borge was born.  He was Danish by birth, and he was  a piano prodigy.  He gave his first piano recital at the age of eight.  In 1940, in order to flee WWII Nazi occupation, he escaped to America.  Amongst his comedy sketches is the one featured above.  He also was known for "Phonetic Punctuation."  He died (peacefully in his sleep) at the age of 91, after 75 years of performance.  Honestly, he was and is one of my favorite musicians/comedians.
