I don't usually have time for this, but I'm glad I did today!  I found this book:

I found this  book on my shelf, and I remember buying it.  I have done this study at least twice, and it is great.

Synopsis:  (from goodreads)  Many books offer tips on enhancing your prayer life but leave you adrift when it comes to actually praying. In this 28-day study, Kay Arthur provides intensely practical insights to help you know how to pray, what to pray, and what to expect when you pray.

I have not officially reviewed this book, and it is not a book I plan to work through any time soon.  It is not where God leading me and teaching me right now.

So, my loss, your gain.  I think I'm going to put this out as a giveaway.  It is a clean book, and I doubt I bought it new.  I know I bought it on amazon or half.com, but it was not new.  I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to revitalize their prayer life.  It takes you through all the prayers of the Bible.  And it really only take 28 days!

In order to enter the giveaway, please leave a comment about how prayer has touched your life.  Be sure your e-mail address is available to me so I can contact you if you win.  The giveaway will end Sunday, October 31 at 9 P.M. Pacific Time.

Unlimited Entries:  Share any tips or resources you use that have helped you with your personal prayer time.  You may share as many as you like.  Just share each one in a separate comment.  Also make sure you have completed the main entry.

  1. Prayer has touched my life in so many ways. Without prayer I would be lost. Praying for my children and grandchildren is always first on my list of daily prayers. By giving them up in prayer, I give them to God and let him shape them to His will not mine. This can to hard as a mom because you alway want to take over what you give to God. Through pray God has blessed my with 2 awesome boys and three wonderful grand-daughters.

  2. My first tip is to always start your day with prayer. God gave you everything so thank Him for everything once you open your eyes. Also end your day with prayer and thank Him for what He gave you that day, Good or bad.

  3. Pray as a family!!! My husband and I started our life together with prayer and together with our children we pray together. The kids are all grown up, but on Sundays after church everyone comes to eat at our house and before eating we pray as a family. We thank God for each other and everything He has given us that week.
