Are you a fan of the popular show on
Food Network called
Cupcake Wars? I have almost watched it since its inception, but I have to admit I miss it once in a while. This is one of those baking reality shows where the contestants have to make cupcakes based on a certain theme, and it always amazes me to see the final creations. It just so happens that a little while ago, I was contacted by one of the winners of this show--Heather Saffer, President of
Dollop Inc., Gourmet Cupcake Creations. I had to do some looking back through the archives of Cupcake Wars, and while I don't remember her specifically, I remember the show she was on. And I was honored and flabbergasted when she contacted me to review a new product of hers. When she further told me that she is single and a blogger, well, I knew I wanted to work with her!
You can see the product featured above. It is called Ultimate Dude, and it comes in the sizes you see above (this is their pocket packs) and the 16 oz. size. This
frosting spread is preservative-free and made from high quality ingredients. Okay, so it's not homemade by you, but you can rest assured that it is homemade! And the taste is absolutely out of this world. Peanut Butter Cookie Dough? Okay, when we talk about desserts, my mom and I both love peanut butter anything! So this was an unbelievable opportunity.
The neat thing about this pocket pack of frosting is that you don't have to use it just on cupcakes. It is a very thick frosting spread, and I actually prefer to use it on other items. These were some cookies I had reviewed from another company, and I really didn't like the flavor. When I put the frosting spread on these little cookies, the flavor was improved in an unbelievable way! You can put this spread on pretzels, apples, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, toast, and so much more. And you can feel good about using these pocket packs because there is truly only a small amount in each pack, and you can feel like you're having a treat without wrecking your entire diet for the day.
The most wonderful thing about all of this is that we live in the days of the online shops and the internet. Thirty years ago, we would have had to travel to New York (or use mail order--if it was even available) to buy this fantastic product. Or wait for it to come to the local grocery store.
