My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another wonderful kid's book with beautiful pictures and simple-to-read words.  This is the perfect book for introducing English and Spanish at the same time to your little kids.  I mean preschool age, maybe even kindergarten.  Experts say that the best time to teach kids another language is right as they are learning their first language.  The words are in both Spanish and English, and the picture illustrate the story wonderfully.  You certainly couldn't find a better book for use in an regular class, an ESL class, or even at home.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.  I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Author Talia Aikens-Nuñez

Talia Aikens-Nuñez wanted to be a meteorologist, a politician and a lawyer. She never thought she would be a writer. It was the birth of her daughter that caused her to start writing. Raising a bilingual child inspired Talia to write lyrical children’s books. These ‘first experience’ books introduce Spanish to children and parents too! Talia’s family loves nature so much that she and her husband vowed that they will always try to live close to water. She, her husband and daughter live on a river in Connecticut with their daughter Isabella.

Top 10 Vacation Spots (By the author)
1.       Puerto Rico: I love visiting Puerto Rico not only because that it is where my husband is from but also because there are so many types of vacations you can have in Puerto Rico. You can have an eco-vacation, surfing vacation, vacation in the rainforest and the list can go on. It is such a versatile island and so beautiful!
2.       St. Maarten: Growing up as a child my family visited St. Maarten every summer. That is also a versatile island. On the French side you get the beautiful hillsides and the roaming animals and on the Dutch side you have the exciting and vivacious day and night-life.
3.       The Caribbean: There are many great vacations I have been on in the Caribbean from Mexico to Aruba. There are so many wonderful things about each one from the people I met to the fantastic food I tasted. And, there are many more places I would love to go.
4.       Cape Cod: My family always visits The Cape. It is so comfortable to me. Since I grew up in New England, I, as well as all of my family, love and can devour a lobster.
5.       North Carolina’s Outer Banks: As a child, my grandparents took me and all of my 16+ cousins to Nags Head, North Carolina. The beaches were so soft and nice and we had great family dinners. And, did I mention the crab shacks?
6.       Stay-cation: My house on a river is a great place for me and my family to have a stay-cation here in Connecticut. Watching the river flow is enjoyable year-round but especially enjoyable when I do not have to work.
7.       Anything with water
8.       Anything with a pool and a beach
9.       Anything with a pool, a beach, lots of sun and my family
10.   Anything with a pool, a beach, lots of sun and my family means a perfect vacation.
