This Day in History January 2, 1941

This one is kind of fun for me since I already like this song.  And I have always liked the Andrews sisters.  It was on this date in 1941 that the song Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy was recorded by the Andrews Sisters.  This was a big hit for them--an instant success as a matter of fact--but it did not win the Grammy for which it was nominated.  The Andrews Sisters were one the most successful pre-Rock era female group, and they starred in films and performed for the troops.
