It is quite possible that you have a budding musician living in your house. When kids are in elementary and middle school, there is a lot of pressure and hype for them to join the school band. If their friends are joining, they may submit to the positive peer pressure and join. This can be a really good thing, and you never know that your child may have a great musical talent that will carry them through their life. He/She may even become a professional musician.
While it seems wonderful for your son or daughter to join the band, you may really struggle to find a reasonably-priced instrument. Consider cheap used instruments as a less expensive option. Your child can have a quality instrument, but it won't cost you an arm or a leg. You would be amazed at the selection of instruments and the unbelievable price.
