This Day in History October 14, 1968

It was on this date in 1968 that the first live broadcast from space occurred.  It was Apollo 7, and the words said were:   “Hello from the lovely Apollo room, high atop everything!”  Evidently, they were not truly ready for a television broadcast due to an astronaut head cold, but it went off as expected.  This was truly training ground for later voyages when they would go to the moon.
