My daughter had the joy of performing with her school choir last weekend at the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival (Japanese New Year) in Olympia, Washington.  I am posting the video because she is singing a duet with another girl.  She has a gorgeous alto voice at her age of 9, and her music teacher and I are amazed.  Yes, I am a soprano, and I am a music teacher, but I never forced her to do anything with music.  I encouraged her, but I never taught her to sing.  I think I would call it the good genes God allowed me to pass on to her!
