This Day in History March 17, 1919

It might be the wrong season to talk about the singer who popularized The Christmas Song, but he was oh, so much more than that.  And on this date in 1919, Nat "King" Cole was born.  He was the first African American to host a TV show (November 1956).  And his music has remained popular even though he died back in February 1965 from lung cancer.  His daughter, Natalie Cole, has also had quite a career in music, and she has continued to keep her father's music popular.

  2. I love listening to Nat "King" Cole. I use to listen to him with my Mom when I was little. I listen to him now and I'm swept away to those wonderful days I spent with Mom =D
