Cafe Well--The Social Network That Cares About Your Well-Being

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cafe Well for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Well, it's that time of year again.  It is a new year, and of course, a lot of people make those healthy resolutions. And what generally happens?  By the end of January, they often fall back into the old patterns again.  There is no accountability.  People don't tend to stick with healthy resolutions and goals unless they actually make themselves accountable to someone else.  Very few can accomplish these kinds of goals on their own.

But where on earth can someone find the help and accountability he or she needs?

Cafe Well

Enter Cafe Well!  Imagine a corporate wellness program that offers free pedometers to its members so they can track their walking/running progress and rewards them for milestones and total steps.  And this is a program that actually works!  This is not like those corporate wellness programs where people challenge each other and half or more of the people involved drop out before the challenge is even over.  The program that Cafe Well has called Race to the Moon actually gets its participants to walk over 50 million steps in just under a month--an average of 2.5 million steps per day!

This program is very different for most out there because it capitalizes on the popularity of social networking.  It seems that when we don't have time for anything else, we always find time to update our status via social networking.  And Cafe Well takes this idea and runs with it!  And people are able to succeed because of the fun, incentives, and support that participants really need and want.

Another thing that makes Cafe Well unique is that is sponsored by Health America.  Not only are participants able to find important health information about a variety of topics, but they are able to find support that they need to accomplish their goals.  And it is also just downright fun to connect with others trying to accomplish similar goals.

So who is eligible for Race to the Moon?  All who have Health America are eligible.  And if you don't have Health America?  No problem--you can still get in on Cafe Well.  All you need to do is register, and you can participate on this healthy social networking site.  Of course, if you sign up, you need to actually try to accomplish your goals.  You can talk about it all you want, but you do have to do something.  But at least it should be more fun than doing it on your own.

So, after you sign up, what kind of challenge do you think you would work towards?  An office weight challenge?  Maybe a workout challenge with your friends?  Or maybe even a healthy food challenge?  The possibilities are endless!  I know that I would create a challenge to push past my plateau.  That is an issue I have struggled with for a while.  I would love to get rid of my last 10-15 pounds that just doesn't want to come off, and I think this might be a program worth investigating.  And I am sure that I will be able to connect with others who have the same struggle.

So that is my challenge, but what about you?  Why don't go check out the Race to the Moon challenge over at Cafe Well and let this be the year when you actually accomplish the healthy goals and resolutions you have set!
