The Literary Blog Hop (Ends 2/13) WW

Welcome to the Literary Giveaway Blog Hop!
The Literary Giveaway Blog Hop is hosted by Leeswammes. Between now and Wednesday, February 13th, you can hop to 40 different book blogs, all offering one or more giveaways of books or bookish items. All books will be literary (non)fiction or something close to that. Follow the links at the bottom of this post to find the other participating blogs.

I am not going to feature a book for the giveaway.  I want to make this simple (since I am fighting a cold a little bit behind).  You will get to choose a book that is "literary" or "nonfiction"--no romance, supernatural or urban fiction or YA.  This is your opportunity to read a classic or a nonfiction book that maybe you have been interested in but have not had the opportunity to read yet.  I am opening this worldwide as long as the Book Depository or Fishpond ships to you.    Enter  the rafflecopter below by 9 P.M. Pacific time on February 13.

  1. I'd love to win a non fiction book, namely "On Writing" by Stephen King, which has been on my wishlist far too long now already. :-)

  2. Oooh, what a great prize for the giveaway - but so difficult to choose! I might choose We Have Always Lived In The Castle by Shirley Jackson. It's a book that's been on my wishlist for a long time now. Thanks for joining the blog hop.

  3. I'd pick Prometheus Rising by Robert Anton Wilson. It's hard to choose since I'm not a nonfiction kind of gal, but I think now's the best time to read these books again. It's been a long time since I was in college and read books in this genre. :)

  4. I think I'd choose The Night Circus if that is eligible!

  5. I'd probably choose The Gargoyle or Wuthering Heights, who knows..

  6. I think I'd choose The Girl With the Pearl Earring.

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  7. i would like to read Cutting for Stone – Abraham Verghese

  8. So many amazing books to choose from, where do I start?! I think maybe I'd go for a classic like The Turn of the Screw by Henry James, or maybe a recent literary fiction. I'll tell you if I win! ;)

  9. Thanks for joining the giveaway hop, Ruth. Hope your cold will be gone soon!

I'd love to choose a non-fiction book if I win: Mwf Seeking Bff by Rachel Bertsche.

Hope you have time to hop around the other blogs yourself. Enjoy!

  10. Great giveaway! Thanks for offering. :) I would love to read The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel by Deborah Moggach.

  11. I think I would choose "Robinson Crusoe." Thanks for the giveaway!

  12. I'd love The Night circus by Erin Morgenstern is that's okay :)

  13. I hope I can pick back home by michelle magorian if I win.

  14. Thanks for the great giveaway, I would probably choose a book off of my Classics Club list.

  15. I would choose 1Q84. Thank you. :)

  16. I might choose a nonfiction book: The Energy of Slaves by Andrew Nikiforuk.

  17. I'd like to choose The Kill by Emile Zola

  18. I'd choose The Handmaid's Tale, or The Summer of the Ubume.

  19. Hmm, I guess it depends on the definition used of literary for these purposes. If it includes the actual category of literary fiction, that is most of what I read so I would have a big decision to make! As for nonfiction, I would have to look a bit :) Classics - I am sure there are some I want to read that I don't already have, but I would have to take a look! Wonderful giveaway, thank you :)

  20. I would choose Love, Lucy by Lucille Ball. I've been interested in reading her autobiography.

  21. I'm not sure which I'd choose between Little Women and Wuthering Heights

  22. Either Dracula or Frankenstein!
    Thanks for the giveaway! :)

  23. Oh there are just so many books I'd love to have. Thanks for the giveaway.

  24. I would probably pick Life of Pi by Yann Martel (Modern Literature) ! Thank you :)

  25. I might pick Life of Pi or Vile Bodies. Thank you!

  29. Probably Wuthering Heights would be my choice

Thank you for the giveaway :)

  35. Either Persuasion, Mansfield Park or Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. Thanks for the giveaway!
