This used to be an easy question to answer. Growing up, I only listened to oldies and movie musicals. And I finally added Broadway musicals to the list. My favorites were Judy Garland, Andy Williams, and Petula Clark.

Then once I was exposed to Phantom of the Opera on Broadway in high school, music theatre music took over. I loved Michael Crawford, Sarah Brightman, Michael Ball, and I loved to watch the Tony Awards (try to explain that to a student!).
Well, I had been against country music for so long, but I made the "mistake" of teaching about a country musician one day, and the rest is history.
And now I go to Bonjovi concerts? I did last year. It is difficult to define my music style, isn't it?

See, I can get through a music post without mentioning Taylor Swift! (Oops, I just mentioned her! Oh well!)
I love different genres too, but my main interest is in symphonic & gothic metal. I have a band called "AnzeriA" since 2009. You can check it here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/AnzeriA/181743181858659
ReplyDeleteI also sometimes like and even want to perform blues / R&B style of music.
