Holy Birthday, Batman! Yes, on this date in 1928, Adam West, the original TV series Batman, was born!  And I had no idea he was born either Washington state!  Walla Walla, Washington, to be exact.  William West Anderson was his real name.  He played Batman from 1966-1968 on television. and this is a show that I enjoyed as I was growing up.  My daughter loves it, too.  He was reportedly offered the role of James Bond in Diamonds Are Forever, but his response was that James Bond should always be played by an English actor.  In more recent years, he has done some voice work in various animated television shows and more.
