This Day in History November 13, 1956

It was on this date in 1956 that what Rosa Parks and others worked so hard to accomplish occurred.  The Supreme Court upheld the Alabama court ruling that bus segregation was illegal.  While it is true that this didn't mean that things changed overnight, it is as least nice to know that this was a beginning.  Racism and prejudice is something that unfortunately still exists today, but it is nice to know that things are at least better than they used to be.
