Swiggies Water Bottle Review

I don't know about you, but I often struggle to get my daughter to drink water, and sometimes I am even guilty of doing it myself.  I am good about it when I work out and exercise, but when I am working around the house, I often forget.  If I walk the dog, however, I can't stand carrying a water bottle with me.

Let me introduce you to Swiggies.  These are very unique water bottles that strap on to your wrist.

You might think, like I did, that they would be very uncomfortable.  I tried them the other day when I was cleaning my room.  I was skeptical, but I have to admit that in no time, I forgot I was even wearing them.  They fit comfortably, and they do not leak.  You don't have to stop and pick up your water bottle--you can keep going with just a little "swig" from one of these bottles that are as close to you as your hand.

Now, I realize that these water bottles are marketed to kids, but my daughter has not had the opportunity to use them.  I plan to send her off with one the next time she goes on her bike.  Our weather has not been really nice until more recently.  I am sure she will enjoy them just as much as I do.

It is good to keep in mind that these bottles do not hold a lot of water--probably the equivalent of a glass of water or so.  But if they were any bigger, I believe they would be uncomfortable.  As you can see in my top picture, I was sent a package of two.  And what the picture did not show you is that the package also contains two replacement parts so the bottle can continue to be leak proof.

What I did not realize is that you can have these Swiggies customized with your own logo.  This sounds like something from which companies could benefit.  This is a unique product, and it would certainly be better to brand something like this rather than a disposable water bottle.

As I read more about the product itself, I was glad to learn the following things:

1.  Swiggies can be frozen for when you are in extreme heat.  That is something I am pleased to hear, and I must remember that when our weather turns hot.

2.  Swiggies are made from the safest FDA-approved, BPA-free plastic.  That makes me feel good in giving it to my daughter.  When worn out, they are one of the easiest kinds of plastic to recycle.  It is nice to know that Swiggies is a "green" product.
