This has been an absolutely phenomenal challenge for my blog. It absolutely revolutionized my blog in wonderful ways. Let me explain what I have done.
First of all, I have only published one review this week and scheduled one more to publish. It's halfway written. I have a lot more to do, I know, but this is much further than I have ever been. I am proud of the fact that I cross-promoted my review on not just one or two sites, but 6, if I remember right. I am pretty happy about that, and I hope to continue.
Next, I created a page called "Book Reviews" on my blog. My aim is to link up all the book reviews I have done and list them. I have 2010 done, but 2011 is just begun. Something that was interesting is that my reviews are so much better now than they were at first. I was almost ashamed at how sparse my reviews used to be. I feel good about what I did, and in time, everything will be cataloged.
This creation of a new page has also caused the creation of more pages--product reviews, recipes, and music. I never thought about doing that. Interesting how doing a challenge like this can improve other areas of my blog.
Now to the last thing--I was totally impressed by this!! I did a search today for online calendars for websites, and I cam across this site: http://localendar.com
I found out how to create my calendar and customize it. And then post it to my site. http://www.mydevotionalthoughts.com/p/calendar-of-events.html
That is now my calendar page. I am very happy to report that I have reviews scheduled for the next several Wednesdays. Sorry I don't have the reviews ready to go-I should, but I don't. But I am glad I have done what I have. I actually figured out the next several books I was going to review.
So in conclusion, I am so glad I participated in this challenge. Thank you Book Monsters!
Love the calendar! I'm just glad you got so much out of it! :) That's the whole point, after all. :) Thanks for joining us!
