Rockin' Green Laundry Detergent Review and Giveaway (Ends 9/10) U.S.

I have heard of Rockin' Green Laundry Detergent, but I have never tried it.  It was started by cloth-diapering mom, and I have to admit that I honestly thought that was the only reason someone would use this product.  I have never heard anyone except cloth-diapering moms talk about it.   And I was only a cloth-diapering mom for a few weeks before my husband at the time took over and changed to disposables because he didn't like cloth diapers.  So why would I want to try something like this?  I have no need for it!

Now if you think about it, you realize that sounds kind of silly.  If a laundry detergent is a proven detergent for cleaning soiled cloth diapers, why would it not be something that would work in other instances as well?  We live in the country, and we have very hard water.  We have fourteen cats, one dog, and four goats.  We also have a 9-year-old girl who doesn't mind getting dirty as well as a grandfather who manages to get fairly dirty on a regular basis.  This sounds like an ideal product for us!

When this product arrived in the mail (we got to try Classic Rock Smashing Watermelons), I was instantly intrigued as I read about the detergent.  All of the ingredients are natural, eco-friendly, and safe for little ones, pets, and more.  All of the scents are natural (that in itself is pretty amazing!).  I was amazed to discover that you only have to use a relatively small amount of detergent with a regular load of laundry.  We continue to use the recommended two tablespoons since our water is pretty hard.  There is also the option of soaking, but I have not had a chance or need to use that yet.

My mom was the first one to use this product, and she said it worked at least as well as our current detergent.  However, she was looking forward to trying it on our towels.  Lately, our towels had been smelling pretty bad even after a wash.  She used this detergent, and voila, nice-smelling towels!  You can also use this detergent as a washing machine cleaner which we may use in the future.   She was still raving about the nice-smelling towels even a week later, and if you know my mom, she does not often rave about products like that.

While I cannot say that it brightens our whites very much (we need to try the soak), I think I am pretty sold on this detergent.  And it feels so good to know that the product is all-natural and allergen-free.  Our only real complaint is that the package is rather difficult to close.  It has a "zipper" closure, but it sometimes does not stay closed very well.  I would prefer if it had an easier closure, but that is just my opinion.  My mom has arthritis in her hands, and she truly struggles when closing it.  It would be horrible if that detergent were not completely closed and it accidentally got knocked over.  But that is truly a minor thing.

So, this is not just for cloth diapering.  This is a fantastic laundry detergent that is versatile and works well on all clothes.  I would recommend that you try it out for yourself.

I am excited to announce that Rockin' Green has agreed to give away one bag of Rockin' Green detergent (winner's choice of fragrance) to one of my U.S. readers.  All you need to do is enter the rafflecopter form below by 9 P.M. Pacific time September 10, and you are entered to win.  Best of wishes!
