This Day in History May 11, 1950

I love it when I can share information about Washington state, and today happens to one of those dates.  On this date in 1950, President Truman formally dedicated the Grand Coulee Dam.  This dam had been one of the New Deal projects of the Depression.

I have seen this impressive dam, and it is important to Washington state.  It is certainly an impressive structure, and if you ever get a chance to see it, take the opportunity.
