I am so excited to share with you some fantastic treats for Halloween!  In the past I have had the distinct pleasure of reviewing Smiley Cookies on my blog (here and here), and I have the joy of doing it again!

Have you ever heard of Smiley Cookies?  If you haven't, let me tell you a little bit about them.  Over 20 years ago, they created these fantastic Smiley cookies, and every time a child comes into eat at Eat 'N Park in their Pittsburgh restaurant receives one of these special cookies.  Every year, more than 200,000 cookies are donated in the community and for charity events.  I always love companies that make community and charity involvement a priority.  And now all of us can enjoy these cookies because of the world wide web!  And each cookie is freshly baked and hand-iced in their bakery in Pittsburgh!  I personally think that is pretty impressive.

One of my favorite things about receiving Halloween cookies from this company (except for eating them, of course), is the way they are packaged when the arrive.  There is something about seeing this box of smiles.  And I loved the fact that they came in this easy-to-seal bag.

Aren't these Halloween treats absolutely darling?  Every cookie that my daughter, my mom, and I enjoyed looked just like these.  And just for your information, these mini jack 'o lantern cookies are available as individually wrapped cookies this year.  They are perfect for giving away to trick or treaters, and they are even kosher, nut-free, and under 100 calories!  And my mom and I both agreed that these cookies taste too good to be that low in calories!  There is something absolutely ideal about these cookies from Smiley.  They are the perfect balance of sweetness, buttery flavor, and freshness.  My mom was easily able to eat two of them at a time.  I didn't allow myself that luxury, but they were unbelievable.  I have to say that there is no way I can make cookies that even come close to tasting this good.
