Remember the Chipmunks?  On this date in 1961, the Chipmunks were offered their own TV show on CBS--The Alvin Show.  It ran for one season.  It originally ran in black and white.  Ross Bagdasarian, Sr, did all the voices in addition to creating the show.  This was the prime time show.  Later on, in 1983, it became a Saturday morning cartoon show.

  1. Wow, I didn't know the Chipmunks were introduced before the 80s. How cool! I guess we can't claim them as ours, though.
