Top Ten Holiday Toys 2011

What’s the holiday season if it isn't loaded with must-have toys worth playing a game of consumer tug-of-war over with other holiday-frenzied parents? Each season presents its own unique roster of hot holiday toys, and 2011 is no different. Let’s take a look at some of the upcoming holiday’s top wallet-draining toys to look out for on Black Friday and beyond.

1.      LeapPad by LeapFrog. Keep your kids away from your iPad by investing in LeapFrog’s own take on Apple’s behemoth electronic. LeapPad includes a built-in camera, a motion sensor, and a collection of more than 100 educational apps.
2.      Air Swimmers. If kids thought flying an airplane with a remote control was impressive, just wait until they see a fish seamlessly floating through the air. These also come in the form of flying UFOs and fairies.
3.      Let’s Rock! Elmo. Tickle Me what? Elmo returns as another holiday favorite complete with a guitar and programmed with six songs for the little ones to jam to.
4.      Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. Activision’s latest Spyro game for Wii allows kids to place action figures on a “Portal of Power” and then see those figurines represented as actual characters in the game.
5.      NERF Vortex-Vigilon. This foam-loaded gun shoots its ammunition up to 50 feet, making it NERF’s most powerful piece of toy weaponry to date.
6.      Ninjago Lightning Dragon Battle. LEGO creates a mighty array of blocky ninjas, dragons, and helicopters that complete an epic set any child is sure to enjoy.
7.      Redakai. This trading card game, based on a popular animated television show, includes cards that are made of plastic rather than paper that portray 3D animations.
8.      I Am T-Pain Microphone. Unleash your child’s inner rap/pop star with this easy to use voice modification system featuring three minutes of recording time and the ability to sync with basic computer programs.
9.      InnoTab. Essentially VTech’s answer to the LeapPad, the InnoTab puts more emphasis on keeping your child organized with a calendar, notepad, address book and more. The device also connects with PCs for downloadable interactive experiences and has a sleek design.
10.   Spy Net: Stealth Video Glasses. Incorporating a unique child-chic look, these glasses feature a built-in video camera designed to maximize any kid spy’s stealthy experience.
