This Day in History July 22, 2012 (began in 1994)

Did you know that back in 1994, President Clinton began something called "Parent's Day"?  He signed a bill introduced by Senator Trent Lott for "recognizing, uplifting, and supporting the role of parents in the rearing of children."  Parent's Day occurs on the fourth Sunday of July, and it just so happens that means it is today!

So what can you do today?  Tell your parents how much you appreciate them.  And if you know of a great parent, nominate them for Parent of the Year!

  1. I had no idea about this day- but it is always nice to tell your parents how important they are. What a good reminder.
