Holy Moly! It’s the Leapin Lizards hop, brought to you by How Was Your Day! Did you know that during Leap Year, ladies can propose marriage to the fellows? It’s true! St Bridget started the tradition in 5th century Ireland and it has continued on to modern day.
For my prize, I will be giving away the following products to one winner. Please read the reviews below.
My Blog Spark provided me with a great prize pack to review and then to give away. Gevalia coffee is one I have often heard about but have never had a chance to try.
Gevalia Kaffe is much more than your average ‘cup of joe.’ It’s a Swedish-style break from the usual coffee grind. Perfected by the Swedes’ passion for quality coffee for more than 150 years, Gevalia is an exquisitely rich smooth coffee experience that is never bitter. Gevalia isn’t just coffee, it’s ‘Kaffe’ to savor.
The Diva Cup is probably one of the most unusual things I have ever had to review. I have heard of reusable menstrual products in the past, but I have never had the opportunity to review it. Here is some background information about the product: The DivaCup Features: The DivaCup, a menstrual alternative, ends hassles with unreliable disposable tampons and sanitary pads in endless absorbencies, shapes and styles. This makes it perfect for all activities. Read more… Menstrual Cup History and Our Story: The menstrual cup was developed in the 1930’s. It was first made from latex rubber (an allergen for many)... The DivaCup Team has over 38 years of combined experience in natural feminine hygiene alternatives. Quality and Standards: The DivaCup is the only menstrual cup allowed for sale in Canada by Health Canada. It also holds market approval by the U.S. FDA, and is the only menstrual cup to achieve the rigorous ISO 13485 certification. Be a "Green" Diva: The DivaCup, an innovative menstrual cup, is reusable making it an environmentally responsible choice as important as switching from plastic to canvas bags! Disposable tampons and pads create billions of units of disposable waste that is dumped into landfills each year. Menstrual Health Worldwide: We are all aware of the difficult plight of women in developing countries. Most of these women face challenges in dealing with their monthly cycle, and they do not have adequate feminine hygiene protection options. I will tell you that when I first tried this, I put it in upside down--I know that sounds funny. But it did happen. It was also painful to insert properly until I put some water on it to act as lubricant. Once I inserted it, it took a little bit of time, and then I practically forgot that I was wearing it. I did wear a pantyliner in the event of leaks (and there were some). Taking it out was fine once I got the hang of it, but it was a bit messy. It does get easier the more you use it. It is not fun to clean it, but it is economical. And it does catch a lot of the blood. My thoughts are somewhat mixed. I am not completely sold. It is not an easy product to use, and I don't know how practical it is to use it away from home. It does take some getting used to. I think in time it will work better. I used it a little bit this past period, and I will probably use it a little next month. It takes time to use new products. It is certainly better than a tampon, but I am not sure about it. I was concerned that I would struggle to urinate with the Diva Cup inside. No problem, whatsoever. It says you can leave it in safely for 10 hours. I haven't used it for that long. So my feelings are somewhat mixed. You can buy the Diva Cup here. One of my U.S. readers will win both products. All you need to do is enter in the rafflecopter form by March 5 at 9 P.M. Pacific Time. Kraft Foods through MyBlogSpark has provided sample product to me and is providing the prizes for this program at no cost to me. Gevalia, like most coffee, is my traditional way to start my day. I love the little bit of me time I get to start my day with a cup of coffee and a morning read of the news!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I've never tried Gervalia. Actually I don't like coffee. I start my day with a cup of Red Rose or Tetley tea. The Gervalia is for my Mum. She can't start her day without that cup of coffee.
