I like covering stories like this.  Indeed, this is one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies--A Charlie Brown Christmas.  It has become a classic that is shown every year, and I do not get tired of watching it.  It was on this date in 1965 that it premiered!

It is true that it was done on a very small budget with children who were inexperienced.  It did win an Emmy in 1966 for Outstanding Children's Program.  Evidently, half of the U.S. tuned into this program when it first aired.  Not bad, eh?
